Sibling rivalry, checked. Broke up with the significant other just before the oversea holiday, checked. Meeting and having flings with the locals, checked. Two white persons who doesn’t have anything else to do, checked. Normally these were the standard ingredients for a normal type of movie plot, simple right?

Broken up with the love of the life and then substitute the guy with own sister which brought up another issue such as sibling rivalry and finally get to know a few locals which inadvertently lead to a stupid decision. Seemed a straight forward movie, now let’s us add some sharks.

Not your typical drama genre movie anymore. It is now a shark infested typical drama movie.

Just for fun, let’s take out the sharks from this movie.

The movie started out as the normal cliché view that you would normally see when the movie involve holiday in another country, girls in bikinis. All happy and proceed to meet with the locals and viewers were presented with a slight hint of sibling rivalry that will be discussed and attempted fixing throughout the movie.

The plot expended by making us viewers to palm our own faces so hard when the main characters agreed to engage in a somewhat stupid underwater activity after being persuade by the locals who they had just met. By right this is where the viewers begin to shake their head and said, “Big mistake” and more face palming when main characters decided to fix their sibling rivalry issues amid of their difficulties.

Lastly one of the main character died due to their own carelessness. That’s it, the movie end.

Basically, without the sharks this movie is just another face-palm worthy. But when you add the sharks, this movie has spiraled into a cringe-face-palm worthy. From Sharknado to The Shallow, this movie is a Two Headed Shark Attack.
